Director of Coaching Mark McIntosh recently introduced the TSC Hurricane Juniors staff to Brian Elliott who has recently assumed a newly created role as Coach Development Advisor.
Brian brings a wealth of experience from various levels as a former college coach at NSU and ORU. Brian holds a USSF National "A"License and is current Head Women’s coach at Union HS.
"We are excited to have Brian join our staff. We have some very talented coaches and do a lot of things very well. But we also want to keep raising our standards so we are in a better position to more fully implement a technical curriculum later this year. Brian will be an important part of helping us get there," says Mark McIntosh.
In support of the club’s strategies to Invest in Player Development and Attract, Retain and Develop Top Coach Talent, the club has brought Brian on board to assume a support role in being a resource for the Juniors Coaching staff. Brian will not coach any teams so this will allow him the time to specifically observe training sessions, provide feedback to juniors coaches, encourage the sharing of best practices across our staff and be there as a resource for newer coaches. Brian will be working with the Juniors Directors, (Matt, Richard and John) in helping to lay the foundation for a more formal roll-out of a technical curriculum for Juniors age players.
Brian’s philosophy, "I strive for excellence. I push my students and players to meet it daily. I am so blessed to be with TSC Hurricane, to draw the excellence out of others, and let them get it out of me. I am so excited to grow and help others grow, the game we all love."
Some of you will probably see a lot of Brian at All-Star this season so please join us in welcoming him to the staff!
