TSC Hurricane Juniors Program is excited to announce the new JDL for U7s to begin Fall 2012!!  The U7 JDL is open to ALL soccer players currently registered in MTsc or BASC recreational leagues at a VERY MINIMAL COST!    

The U7 JDL is also open to any player in the Northeastern Oklahoma area regardless if you are a current TSC Hurricane, MTsc or BASC member but there is a per player seasonal fee. (The per player seasonal fee does NOT apply to current MTsc or BASC registered players).    

The purpose of the league is developmental while providing more "meaningful" games for players and prepares them for higher levels of competition and development.    Participation in this league will help in preparation for progressing into the full Juniors programs that begin at U8.   TSC Hurricane Juniors program is also working very hard to provide some additional developmental opportunities for our older Juniors players and expects to make another announcement in the near future!

 In the semi-finals the girls faced the 00 MWC Fusion.  The girls took control early and played an outstanding first half, creating several chances.  After hitting the post several times and having several near misses the girls cashed one in and took a 1-0 lead into half.  A sluggish start plagued the girls in the second half but they regrouped and put the game away midway through the second with a 2-0 lead.  A very well deserved win and a great game plan by Coach Beattie.

 The final was a rematch with 00 Sheffield.  The previous meeting ended in a scoreless draw and the girls were looking to get on the board early and keep up the pressure.  The girls did not disappoint with clinical precision they moved the ball up an down the field creating several early chances.  Ten minutes in a nice pass found a streaking forward who slid a nice left foot shot to the corner.  The girls gained a 1-0 lead and would not look back.  The clinic continued and more great play resulted in another goal just before half to take a commanding 2-0 lead.  The second half was more of the same with the girls dominating every phase of the game.  A great pass to the wing resulted in a nifty goal to the backside for a 3-0 lead.  And to complete the rout the girls scored directly off a corner kick.  The final score was 4-0 and the dismantling was complete. 

The 01 Beattie Girls playing up in the 00 division were the 2012 President's State Cup U12 Girls Champions.  Well done Girls!!!!

Congratulations also goes to 01G Williams who played two OT periods in the Final missing several great changes but just couldn't put it away.  They ended up losing in PKs for a 2nd place finish.  01B Melton battled in a back and forth semifinal and ended up losing in the 2nd OT period.  Congratulations to all the teams!!!  We are proud of you!!

Two brains in the body? 

Indirectly, yes. The first and most obvious is the actual brain contained within the skull and has direct communication with every bodily function through the spinal cord and spinal nerves. As a chiropractor, that's how I access and restore energy and health to the body- through gentle spinal manipulation. 

The less obvious "brain" has been identified in the digestive system. It assimilates the nutrients we feed our body to nourish the first brain and keep the entire body in proper working order. Although spinal care is very important, maintaining the integrity of your digestive tract is what determines your "inner" health. 

Why nutritional supplements? 

Today's commercial farmers have been forced to increase their profit margins due to rising food costs. In so doing, many have elected to utilize cheap, synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, and genetically modified seeds. Such "creative", over-farming has left our soil depleted from the nutrients necessary for our optimal health. 

Now what? 

Buy foods that are certified organically grown if possible.

Eliminate the processed synthetic foods as much as possible from your diet. 

Choose nutritional supplements that are whole food based ultra-hypoallergenic, and contain no synthetic substances.

Where do you start?

Begin with a good whole food-based multi-vitamin/multi-mineral supplement. The A's, B's, C's, D's, etc. 

Add Tuna oil or Calamari essential fatty acids. They're great anti-inflammatories, nourish your "real" brain, and help fend off stress. 

Take a probiotic. All the good bacteria in your digestive tract must be maintained-it wards off sickness, aging, stress, and aids in energizing the body. 

Digestive enzymes. They're mandatory! Take 2-4 with each meal (heavy protein meal, take 4). Make sure bromelaine, papain, protease, borage, and turmeric are in the mix-they give your body the lost enzymes from over-farming and help digest your food more efficiently. 

Minerals are key. Minerals plus water equal great electrical conductivity. That's what your nervous system was created for. Kelp, alfalfa, iodine-Yummm!

These simple nutrients can add quality of life to you and your family. Thomas Edison once said "the chief function of the body is to carry the brain around."

During their 1st two days in San Diego, the ECNL U14, U16 and U17s were very competitive against some of the top teams in the nation.  They were facing the top California clubs in several matches with 98 Bradshaw coming within a goal of CA Slammers FC, 96 Rhein capturing a 1-1 draw vs McLean, and the U17s (missing several players), drew 0-0 vs CA Real So Cal.  The ECNL teams finish up today.

In Kansas City, several teams participated in the Emerald Cup and toured LIVESTRONG Sporting Park while there.  Congratulations to 02G Gordon for capturing the U10 Gold Championship, 00G Parker (finalist) and 99G Rusling (finalist).  Below are details on how each team faired at the Emerald Cup.

About the ECNL PDP National Combine in Dallas

This spring 2012, MTsc will be providing three (3) select individuals based on their application and eligibility to be recipients of $1,000.00 each to assist them with college expenses; available are the MTsc Scholarships and the Iskander Scholarship.  Eligibility requires at least three (3) seasons of Recreational/Friendship Program registration with MTsc and current involvement with MTsc through being a current TSC Hurricane player.  

BASC will award four (4) $500 scholarships to players who have played for 3 years with BASC through recreational and/or TSC Hurricane competitive.
