Whether it’s a new team or an existing team, a registration/organization meeting should be held for parents, players and coaches. This meeting should be held once your team has been formed after tryouts to:  Discuss team plans (i.e. tournaments), expectations, monthly dues/budget, get player photos, obtain jersey #s for uniforms, etc.

Registration and payment is done by each family on-line using the BlueSombrero main Account Log-in page.  See bottom of this page for helpful tips.

Manager Registration Checklist at beginning of season (or for adding a new player):

  • Registration: There is no need to complete a USYSA Form.  Pay by check option is the preferred method at tryouts but pay on-line is an option.  Registration will NOT be valid without payment by the designated deadline.  (Registration can ONLY be done on-line.  If a parent does not have internet access please assist them in anyway possible.)

  • Commitment Forms: For OSA Select players, have players and parents complete and sign the OSA Player Commitment Form (2016-17).  During the registration process parents will also be asked to agree to the Parent and Player s well as the TSC Hurricane Parent and Player Expectations.  The commitment form originals will be returned to our registrars, keep a copy for your records.

  • Birth Certificates: You should include copies of the players' birth certificates for your files in case it is needed to be checked at a tournament, etc. (These do not need to be certified.)

At the 1st team meeting please discuss with the coach your agenda which should include discussing season schedules, team goals, coaches goals, players and parent expectations, attendance policy for games and practices, including consequences for lack of attendance, indoor league play and practice schedules. Also, the coach should discuss their coaching philosophy. Tournament plans should be discussed. Teams should plan on supporting all TSC Hurricane “Club” events including Lexus Tulsa Cup and adidas Sam Shannon Cup & Showcase.

Special note for players with ECNL or OSA tryouts:

1) Every player should have registered online BEFORE tryouts using your proper name on birth certificate.

2) Then, you should have paid by check at tryouts for Registration.

3) After tryouts, you will receive an email from "Blue Sombrero" asking you to "Accept the Spot" on your team. Please click Accept, but choose "pay by check" as you have already paid at tryouts.  You will still see a balance and when the club updates the payment status you will receive another email confirmation.  If you did not, pay by check at tryouts, you have the option of paying via credit card at that time.

4) If you cannot find the email you were sent, you can simply log back in to your account using the Registration Link to the left.  Go to your account, under Participants, click on the Tryout Acceptance link.  That’s it!

Check Tryout Status:  Managers can view their rosters for who has completed their Tryout Acceptance by going BlueSombrero main registration page and log in to your account.

Then at the top click Team Central >  Team Directory > then select your program > then your age division > then your team you should be able to view the players that have completed.
