Modeled after the US Club Soccer/ECNL ID2 Program, the TSC Hurricane Player Identification Program will officially launch in the Fall of 2011 to provide a better, more efficient, and streamlined process for identifying players with the potential to play for the highest level TSC Hurricane teams.

TSC Hurricane will be partnering with ECNL and US National Staff to identify the top talent in the Oklahoma market.  This program will be a good vehicle for Oklahoma players to eventually have opportunities with the US Youth National Teams. The TSC Hurricane Player ID Program identifies the top players in the Oklahoma and surrounding region, as well as on current TSC Hurricane teams and then provides opportunities for these players to be seen and trained by U.S. Soccer National Team staff. The TSC Hurricane Player ID Program was created with the following assumptions:

(i) Players should be scouted and evaluated in their regular environment.
(ii) There should be no additional cost to players for scouting and identification.
(iii) To ensure accurate evaluations, players should be evaluated by multiple people over multiple events.
(iv) To ensure accurate evaluations, the coaches that train and develop the identified players should be consulted as the best source of information regarding overall ability, mentality, and current form.

By scouting players in their regular team environment, while they are competing against the best players in the country, the TSC Hurricane Player ID Program increases opportunities for identified players at no additional cost to the players.

The TSC Hurricane Player ID Program will initially focus on the U12-16 age groups.  Based on scouting and evaluations compiled over multiple local and regional events, players from those age groups will be invited into a Special Training Camp co-hosted by TSC Hurricane and/or US National Staff, at no charge to the invited players.

TSC Hurricane has developed a scouting network of Player ID Program Scouts. These scouts include coaches from TSC Hurricane as well as independent coaches and Technical Advisors from Colleges, ECNL and USSF National Staff.  Scouts within the Player ID Program include some of the countries best youth club coaches, coaches with former experience with US Soccer National Teams, and coaches from top Division I, II, and III colleges.

TSC Hurricane Player ID scouts are asked to observe and analyze games at certain local and regional events. A standardized evaluation program has been established by the ECNL for these scouts whereby identified players will be evaluated on a variety of technical, tactical, physical, and psychological characteristics based upon their performances.

TSC Hurricane will be sponsoring special Training Centers with help of USSF National Staff. The top players identified by the Player ID Program in the U12-16 age groups will be invited to this camp, where they will have the opportunity to train and perform in front of TSC Hurricane, ECNL and/or US Soccer National staff.

In addition to the TSC Hurricane Player ID Program, TSC Hurricane will work closely with younger TSC Hurricane staff as well as other area clubs to solicit recommendations of top players from coaches throughout the region.
