Jim Rhein has been the assistant coach with the women's soccer program at The University of Tulsa since 2008. The program has gotten stronger and stronger each year since Jim has been there. Prior to TU, Jim coached Bixby High School where he compiled a career 131-53-2 coaching record in 13 years as the Spartans' head girls coach. He coached 21 players to all-state accolades and guided the team to the state tournament in each of his 13 seasons. His teams advanced to the state quarterfinals six times and the state semifinals in 2002 and 2007. Jim also coached the Spartans to 11 district championships and two runner-up performances. He was also named All State High School Coach 3 times.
Jim also served as the Technical Assistant to the Director of Coaching for Hurricane Futball Club and coached HFC 98 Rhein. Jim’s experience at Hurricane includes coaching HFC '84 Girls and leading them to 15 tournament titles, including the state championship in 2002, while that team also earned a No. 6 national ranking in July 2002 by NationalSoccerRanking.com. Jim has coached and worked with several other HFC boys and girls teams over the years as well.
Jim was a four-year letterwinner at Northeastern State, where he received a bachelor's degree in secondary education and social studies in 1993.
