Kenny Killingsworth

Kenny Killingsworth grew up in Dallas where he earned High School Soccer All-American honors in both 1980 and 1981.  He was drafted out of high school and played for the Dallas Tornadoes of the NASL.  His nine year professional playing career included teams in Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Canton and Fort Wayne.

In 1984 Kenny began his coaching career working in soccer camps with Brian Harvey, Head Coach at Oklahoma City University, then became Brian’s Assistant Coach for the men at OCU from 1986-1988.  Brian’s emphasis on technical training and possession under pressure have been a significant influence on Kenny’s coaching philosophy.

Kenny has coached in the competitive programs for Norman Fury, OKC Spirit, Jenks Arsenal, East Tulsa United, South Tulsa Juventus and Kicksmart as well as the recreational program at Jenks.  He also coached the high school program at Bishop McGuiness in Oklahoma City in the mid 1980’s and was an Assistant Player Coach his final year as a professional player.  

Married to JoDee, they have two children, Brett and Hollee, who attend Union schools.  Brett is a member of the 93 Hurricane boys.  Kenny is the Regional Manager for RLS Legal Services and oversees the operations of their Tulsa, Dallas and Oklahoma City offices.  He previously managed the Tulsa office for RLS.

Kenny likes to run a highly organized practice with specific teaching points.  His training (Practices) consist of three areas Technical, Tactical and physical.
